Rehab Companies Trade Branch Offices

United Seating & Mobility (USM) and National Seating & Mobility (NSM), two key suppliers of seating, mobility and complex rehab products traded two branch offices on July 1, 2007. USM's Orlando, and Dallas, branches will become NSM offices, and NSM's Kansas City, Mo. and Columbus, Ohio branches will become USM offices, the providers announced last week.

The consolidation will give USM and NSM the ability to increase their opportunities with a regional focus while reducing their exposure to national competitive bidding. "This is an exciting opportunity for us to have a stronger presence in our markets - everybody wins." said Bob Gouy, president of USM.

The branch swap is a strategic re-alignment whereby both companies focus closer to the hearts of their core business.

United Seating & Mobility provides seating and mobility solutions for people with disabilities. USM assesses its clients' long-term needs, their work and home environment, access to transportation, and social and emotional environments. That assessment then is used to provide the most appropriate mobility solution for its client. USM has 18 branches in nine states and over 30 years of experience in the industry. USM is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc.
