Mattress overlay combines gel and foam cushioning
BiltRite/Mastex Health's Gel-eeze Gel Mattress Overlay combines gel bladders and polyurethane foam cushioning for pressure sore prevention and treatment. The checkerboard foam surface conforms to body contours and allows air flow channels to keep patients cool. The center section under the foam uses eight individual bladders to prevent migration of gel. When high pressure is exerted, the gel does not move from under the patient. The overlay is available in three standard sizes, with bariatric sizes also available.
