Active Healthcare’s Feierstein Named 2010 Enterprising Women of the Year Finalist
Lisa Feierstein, Founder and President of Raleigh, N.C.-based HME provider Active Healthcare Inc. has been named 2010 Woman of the Year finalist by Enterprising Women magazine.
The award honors women business owners who have fast-growth businesses, are prominent leaders in their communities and also mentor other women in entrepreneurship skills. Enterprising Women, the international magazine for women business owners, recognized the honorees from across the United States and Canada at a awards dinner in Miami.
“I am honored to be chosen for this prestigious international award along with so many other women entrepreneurs,” Feierstein said. “I am also thrilled to be given this opportunity to highlight Active Healthcare’s work in our community to this audience. ”
In 2009 Feierstein was honored by the Triangle Business Journal as a Women in Business award winner for her work with Urban Ministries of Wake County Open Door Clinic and the Wake County Asthma Coalition.
Feierstein is a mentor for nursing students at her alma mater, MCV/VCU School of Nursing. She also works with a mentoring group of other entrepreneurs through the National Association of Women Business Owners.
